I think what is being said is that there is a lot of power in your words to build up or smash down, to encourage or destroy. We all remember that one teacher that encouraged us and helped us and believed in us. And I am grateful for those that helped me when I told. So that I was useless, good for nothing, stupid and a dunce, not just one teacher but by many. I was frequently humiliated by cruel teachers. Because I didn’t understand and struggled. Because bulldog had learning problems. I tried so hard and was a good kid I wanted so much to learn. But the French used to cry almost every lesson. And bulldog lived in fear of humiliation. I told that I was stupid, useless, dumb, a waste of space would never come to anything. And one teacher told my parents that they should put me up for adoption and give up on me.
